What originally brought you into the NFT space?
I was in my final year of medical school when I came across an NFT promoting food! I had already been developing a gamified mental health application which had been a finalist in a ‘Young Innovator’s Competition’ but I was struggling to find a community to validate and build my idea alongside me. NFTs seemed like the perfect solution.

How did you come up with the idea for your NFT project?
In mental health, our emotions are always concealed and suppressed. We keep it within us that it can become overwhelming and suffocating over time. That’s why I thought of a character that had a (‘maha’) thing on its head that grows as they discover its purpose was cool and symbolic of the struggle that many of us face.

What makes your NFT project unique?
To my knowledge, we are the first NFT to provide real-world utility through a gamified therapy application. Even outside of NFTs, the concept of digital therapies is still relatively new and the team are excited to see how we can bridge both worlds together!

How big is the team and what are their roles?
We have about 7 core team members distributed over NFT development and mobile application development and are supplemented by our ancillary team including legal, accounting, psychologists and also moderators.

Are there any mechanics or utility we should know about?
All meemo’s world token holders will get lifetime access to our application and future benefits as we continue expanding meemo’s world. We recently took a snapshot for 10 lucky holders to receive a free meemo plushie!

Where do you see NFTs in the next 3-5 years?
I believe that the current market has too much emphasis on hype and flipping and I liken this to the .com bubble. I believe that after the hype fades, only quality projects that are based on fundamentals will survive. I don’t believe that current valuations of some NFT projects are sustainable given that their current value is based upon speculation. It will be interesting to see what happens to those valuations when the market sentiment changes.

What would you tell a newbie before beginning to invest in the NFT market? What should they look for?
It is very easy to get scammed in this space given the anonymity and large amounts of money to be made. I would advise newbies to be familiar with digital wallets, seed phrases as well as common scams before getting into NFTs. Projects that cater to newbies are a great resource!

Anything else you’d like the people to know about you?!
When I’m not working on Meemo’s World I am actually a medical doctor working at a private hospital in Sydney.
