What originally brought you into the NFT space?
Unemployment. I was running a commercial video shop in Vancouver, BC, but the pandemic hit us like a sledgehammer. I had been cryptocurious for years, buying small bits of ETH, so it was the perfect time to dive into DeFi. And I quickly found NFTs and it made sense immediately – I had no doubt that these would be the perfect onramp for retail consumers into crypto. What do you think is the most important thing to look for before investing in NFT projects?
Yourself. It will be impossible to find conviction in a project if you don’t legitimately like it. We all like to think we are some kind of ice cold, emotionless trader, but man I can’t bring myself to care about certain popular projects. Let passion drive you, and wealth will follow.

What would you tell a newbie before beginning to invest in the NFT market? What should they look for?
Community. Spend hours finding a project you really like and connect with, then join the community and ask as many dumb questions as you can. From there, once you’re ready to dive in, then you can learn how to buy it.

What do you foresee as the top challenges for NFTs moving forward?
Stability. It’s a nascent market. The class of 2021 in NFTs has never been through a true bear shakeout market, and it is very likely coming soon. Its not up only, and this massive market will struggle with its emotions as things evolve.
