What originally brought you into the NFT space?
As the leader in 3D modeling and avatar creation, PFP NFTs are a natural fit for us. Our original NFT partnerships — including Coca-Cola and Champion, among others — allowed us to dive headfirst into the space and really explore all the potential there. With Non-Fungible People, we were excited to build on our experience by offering unique utility with 3D models included with each NFT.

What month and year did you get involved in NFTs?
Our first launch into NFTs was in March 2021 with a partnership with Champion, followed by a partnership with Shudu – the world’s first digital supermodel. We created Coca-Cola’s first NFTs which were auctioned off in support of Special Olympics International, then launched Non-Fungible People, our first solo NFT collection, in December.

How did you come up with the idea for your NFT project?
We started with the desire to help make PFPs not only beautiful but diverse and inclusive. We believe that everyone should be able to represent themselves in whichever form feels true to them. The massive community that’s formed around Non-Fungible People shows that this mission is resonating with people and will hopefully inspire more creators to join us in making inclusivity a key feature of representation in Web3.

What makes your NFT project unique?
What makes Non-Fungible People unique is representation and utility. We’ve generated these avatars from over 25,000 unique characteristics, making each Non-Fungible People NFT one-of-a-kind. Each holder owns the rights to their PFP and 3D avatar and can develop their avatars using 3D software like Daz Studio.

How big is the team and what are their roles?
This project is led by the women on our team. We’ve had about 20 people working on the project with a variety of roles. The Non-Fungible People NFT collection leaders include Jessica Rizzuto, Ty Duperron and Matt Wilburn. Other collection team members include Morgan Milovich, Kirsten Sharp, Kat Briggs, and Jen Farmer, our community leader. Our collection artists include Cecile Decourt (aka Cake One) and Angie Simpson. We also have leaders in strategic partnerships to bring future benefits to Non-Fungible People holders with plenty of announcements forthcoming.
-+
Are there any mechanics or utility we should know about?
Each Non-Fungible People NFT comes with a 3D model that the holder can use in many ways. Holders will be able to use these avatars across 3D environments from popular video game engines to AR and streaming software, with exceptional utility for the Metaverse.

Where do you see NFTs in the next 3-5 years?
We see a complete paradigm shift around digital ownership, with adoption of NFT and blockchain technology outside of the niche collections you see now. We’ll see tokens used as proof of ownership for all forms of digital and even physical goods. There will be major advancements in utility and the evolution of the space beyond the early examples of simple artwork.
For our brand, we plan to become an NFT utility powerhouse by helping creators across the globe enhance their collections with fully rigged 3D versions of their PFPs. We’ll further expand as an NFT thought leader, and continue to bring NFTs to the metaverse to take this cutting-edge space to the next level.

What would you tell a newbie before beginning to invest in the NFT market? What should they look for?
We’d recommend finding a project with transparency and a complete vision for the direction of their NFT collection. We’ve made a point of being very open with our community every step of the way, through regular updates on Discord and AMAs with our team. We answer any and all questions and have clearly defined our mission and benefits in our roadmap. Many of our holders minted an NFT for the first time with Non-Fungible People, and the overwhelming community support made it a seamless process for them.

Is there another NFT project you admire that we should reach out to next?
We were able to partner with great NFT projects like World of Women and Fame Lady Squad in the build up to Non-Fungible People and have massive respect for both projects.
