What originally brought you into the NFT space?

The core Tibles team (Myself, Meghan, Woody, Daryl and Ernesto) have over 20 years in the digital collecting space. Our CEO Woody and Creative Director Daryl, created Star Trek digital trading cards on CD back when computers came with built in CD players! When blockchain technology came on the scene we saw it as the perfect way to solve the problem of digital ownership being tied to privately owned servers. Seussibles! is just one of many apps under the Tibles umbrella that uses the Flow blockchain to mint the collectibles we offer to fans.

Do you have any favorite NFTs?

I have Gen 2 Crypto Kitties and I will never trade them!

+
How did you come up with the idea for your NFT project?

We’ve learned a lot from building digital collecting mobile apps over the past 10 years. The current platform incorporates all our learnings and replaces free to play mechanics with blockchain NFT affordances.

+
What makes your NFT project unique?

Three things make us unique: 1. Barter-style trading, 2. Mobile app that is simple to use no matter how experienced you are with NFTs, 3. A lot of work goes into creating collectibles that stay true to the fandom and authentic to the brands we work with.

How big is the team and what are their roles?

Right now we are a team of 13 full timers and about 5 part timers. Our team is growing! This includes developers (iOS, Web, server, blockchain), product (PM, product design), and content (producers, designers).

Are there any mechanics or utility we should know about?

I have interviewed dozens of users since we started and many of them consider the app itself to be utility—particularly the trading, gifting, and social components. We will also be working with our brand partners on other kinds of utility.

Where do you see NFTs in the next 3-5 years?

NFTs will be the tech behind any ownable digital good, whether a collectible, game piece, art, or something else. And people will start calling them what they are (digital collectibles, art, game pieces, etc) instead of NFTs, like they stopped saying World Wide Web.

What would you tell a newbie before beginning to invest in the NFT market? What should they look for?

Look for stuff that excites you and has a community of like-minded people you can have fun with. If you love looking at it, sharing it and talking about it, then it’s worth your time and money.

Is there another NFT project you admire that we should reach out to next?

One of my buddies started RCRDSHP, if you like to collect music, you should definitely check them out!

Anything else you’d like the people to know about you?!

I love cardistry! I am also a real life collector. I collect Comic Books, Pops!, Hot Wheels, Mechanical Keyboards and old books. I started my tech career as a server developer and I have 2 different Masters degrees – Social Work and Fine Arts.
