What originally brought you into the NFT space?

I was drawn into the NFT space because of the wealth building and accumulation component, the cool artwork and the opportunity to expose cryptocurrencies and NFTs to more people.

What month and year did you get involved in NFTs?

September 2021.

-
+
How did you come up with the idea for your NFT project?

I came up with the idea and ethos for Savage Kingdom while thinking through what makes all of us unique individuals and how everyone of us is a beast in our own right. In my culture, when someone is really good at sports or in an area of expertise we call them a beast. This term beast is a connotative word/phrase that means they’re unstoppable and phenomenal at what they’re doing. You can also draw parallels to the character Beast from Marvel’s X-Men… He’s super brilliant, loyal and really strong all at the same time.

What makes your NFT project unique?

Our project is founded by a black crypto team. We want to show diverse art through the cultural elements we grow up with! It’s a melting pot of ideas that include hip hop, anime, grind and education all rolled into one. Last, we want to expose and educate underserved, under-resourced and underprivileged communities about the power of cryptocurrencies and NFTs

Are there any mechanics or utility we should know about?

We’re currently a PFP project that has an educational component attached to it. We hope to launch our learning academy later this year. This learning academy will have original and curated content that aims to educate the everyday person who doesn’t know anything about cryptocurrencies & NFTs. We’re also looking into opportunities that will make our collection scarce and community driven.

-
+
Where do you see NFTs in the next 3-5 years?

I believe NFTs will become more mainstream due to the adoption of big brands, governments and the retail consumer. As a result we’re going to see hundreds of IRL use cases.

-
+
What would you tell a newbie before beginning to invest in the NFT market? What should they look for?

I believe newbies need to understand that they shouldn’t invest more than they’re willing to lose. I would also encourage newbies to search “GaryVee on NFTs” on YouTube because he consistently drops NFT and crypto nuggets. They’ll learn a lot with that guy!

-
+
Is there another NFT project you admire that we should reach out to next?

I think y’all should reach out to HTown Punks (https://twitter.com/HTownPunks713). They’re a very unique NFT project that’s black founded and led with a focus on public figures in and from Houston, TX, USA.

Anything else you’d like the people to know about you?!

Yea, I’d want people to know that this is a real project that’s passionate about sharing our ethos and love for crypto, NFTs, black, anime and hip hop culture. We’re serious about people being beasts and taking their life to the next level in whatever they put their hands on.
