What originally brought you into the NFT space?

What month and year did you get involved in NFTs?

 It was mid January 2021

What NFTs do you currently own? What is your favorite and why?

So I own around 600 NBA Top Shot moments, Fyat Lux, a Blob from Flooding Factory, a couple of Flovatars…wow this sentence feels bonkers. NBA Top Shot will always be my first and specifically Ja Morant’s Series 1 Top Shot Debut is my most coveted moment.  It was one of the first moments I saw on the site that really felt out of range. But when the market dipped for a bit over the March/April span I was fortunate enough to grab one!

What do you think is the most important thing to look for before investing in NFT projects?

Transparency. Lots of people are willing to yell all the fun buzzwords like UTILITY or ROADMAP but I’m looking to get to know the people behind the projects.  I want to know why this matters to them. If I can understand why they care so deeply, then I can begin to care. That type of feeling is contagious. One of our favorite shows over at Team Hold is our NFT Tuesday. We just bring on creators to talk up their project. We get to see faces, hear stories, and get hyped.

What would you tell a newbie before beginning to invest in the NFT market? What should they look for?

Don’t be guided by FOMO. It’s wildly overwhelming and you see things around you pumping it’s hard to resist firing away at projects. Take your time, talk with friends you trust, and join the Team Hold community. I feel as if I still barely know anything about NFTs, but surrounding myself with different discord communities (shout out Team Hold) you get a feel for what people get excited about as well as learning when red flags present themselves.

What do you foresee as the top challenges for NFTs moving forward?

There’s so much coming at us right now and I think if we’re being honest it’s difficult to see a scenario where all of these projects survive. I think as collectors really honing in on what’s important to you and why it’s important will help dictate what projects you spend your time, energy, and eth on.

Where do you see NFTs in the next 3-5 years?

Oh God. I think anytime I have been asked a question like this in any sort of interview form I have been way off. So who the heck knows! I hope I am continuing to be a mouthpiece for upcoming projects and shine lights on teams that are transparent, honest, and bringing a positive vibe to this space.
